APPRENTICESHIP

Office assistant for events (m|f|d)

(starting 01.08.2025 | only in Hamburg)

Your department is the back office. You accompany the organisation of the projects from the preparation, the implementation and the follow-up. Booking hotels and staff is just as much a part of your activities as project costing, subsequent controlling and contract management. In the commercial area, you will learn the basics of bookkeeping, human resources, travel expenses and credit card accounting. Another area is communication with customers and suppliers as an interface between the back office and the technical department. You will also gain a basic insight into event technology and be present during the implementation of events.

The aim of the training is for you to be able to organise and calculate an event from A to Z and to monitor its implementation.

What you should know

  • Your principal place of work and employment is in Hamburg

  • Your apprenticeship will involve travel in Germany and in some cases also throughout Europe 

What you should bring with you

  • You are of adult age or will be soon

  • You have at least a school leaving certificate (secondary school)

  • German spoken and written

  • English (basic knowledge) would be good

  • You have a driving licence or are in the process of obtaining one

  • You should also be a team player, open-minded, flexible and able to work under pressure
